Blister Treatments

If at all possible, it’s best to leave blisters alone and let them heal whole. Blisters that have popped are an open wound susceptible to infection. However, if you think the blister is likely to pop anyway, you may want to drain and care for it.

Protecting Skin Blisters

If your blister seems to be doing fine and isn’t bothering you, it’s best to protect it and leave it alone. Cover the blister with a soft bandage so that it is not aggravated further. The fluid, serum, beneath the epidermis is natural and assists in the healing. As your blister heals, the fluid will be reabsorbed by your body.
